About

galimaufry.com aka ‘the g-spot’ circa 2003

The site that has lived at this URL has changed forms many many times over the years. In 2003, at the height of its time as a personal/vanity website, it looked like what you see to the right.

(Ok. I’ll admit, there’s some similarities now that I look at it.)

Well, aesthetic choices notwithstanding, eventually I moved on from my oversharing ways and started focusing on written content creation through blog entries and articles though, more often than not, all that work found its way to different platforms for various reasons (one of which was losing this domain for several years in a flubbed domain transfer.)

As I started to do more with online content creation on twitch and youtube, it seemed natural to start anchoring that stuff somewhere, and my own (finally reclaimed) domain seemed the perfect place for it.

Media and communication technology continue to be key interests of mine ever since college, and I frequently talk (and chat) at length about media literacy and communication theory topics. The way that new media continues to intersect with everyday life and enable the democratization of content creation and sharing (for better and worse) is something I literally think about every day even though it has almost nothing to do with my day job juggling data for people.

So, what makes a ‘good’ story? What makes ‘good’ content? These are the things that I think about and want to share my thoughts on.
